In what is a very traditional sector, Williams Munroe fosters a lively, dynamic environment in which entrepreneurial spirit and innovation are greatly encouraged. As part of a growing start-up, each team member is given the opportunity to define the company’s culture and success, and we welcome new ideas and positive change.
As a business we actively embrace those from different professional backgrounds and welcome the fresh perspectives they bring. We have a grown up approach and environment, and as a team we thrive on encouraging high-performance and ongoing improvement. We look for people who want to genuinely be part of building something special; who will enhance our culture and not be moulded by it.
Our belief that recruitment can do better means we are committed to adding value not just to businesses, but to the community we work in as well. Through office charity events, corporate sponsorship and more, we give back to local communities.
As a native South African, Founding Director Phil Evans also supports various charitable projects over there, working closely with Baphumelele Orphanage in Khayelitsha.
Williams Munroe is also signed up to the Armed Forces Covenant, which supports the employment of ex-services men and women.
We are proud to be part of the Recruitment Entrepreneur group, chaired by James Caan CBE. Backed by their unrivalled financial, strategic and operational support, we are able to offer the very best service to our clients and candidates.
As Chairman, James Caan takes an active role in the investment process, working closely with Williams Munroe. His hands-on approach and mentoring enables our team to learn from his considerable experience in founding and scaling recruitment businesses.
Working at Williams Munroe is a positive change to any other company I’ve worked with before – the atmosphere in the office is positive and lively. It’s an amazing company to be a part of – as long as you work hard, you get to play hard. We’re often out for drinks, visiting new places and celebrating our achievements. The flexibility is a benefit too, my work/life balance and productivity levels have increased massively since joining the company. I know I’m an integral and trusted part of the team and it’s a great feeling when you receive positive feedback from your candidates, clients and manager. It’s good to know your achievements are rewarded and feel appreciated as part of the business, rather than just another cog in the corporate wheel.
The commission scheme is brilliant – with the ability to receive monthly payments. Knowing you can always have that extra cash boost and enjoy yourself if you hit your targets, rather than waiting for the whole quarter makes a real difference. I know my work is valued, and I know there’s a clear progression route for me in the future
Phil's background and outlook on building high-performance teams gives the business a considerable competitive edge. It's rare to meet someone who offers such a high level of consultancy and post-placement support as Phil. I am excited to be working with them as they drive transformation in the accountancy sector.
